Derick Lewis - I am just the Bass Player

I am just the Bass Player. I don't have any great words of wisdom or theories about life. So, unless your questions involve playing music or hooking up a P.A. System, I probably won't have an answer. I am just the Bass Player.

I have been playing bass for about 11 or maybe 12 years. My first bass was a Fender. Since then, I have went through to many to count, let alone list, so don't ask. Right now, I am playing a Ibanez Eurgodine, and I am pretty happy with her. (Even though she needs to be slapped around a little every once in a while.)

Everyone I have ever jammed with has contributed to my playing. You can learn a lot just by trying to keep an open mind and realizing that when it comes to music, there is no wrong or right way. Sometimes, your "mistakes" can be the most perfect stuff you will ever play.

My main goal in this band is Roadies. You know you have made it when someone else is carrying your bags.
